What's included

Most lead magnets I see were thrown together in Canva on a Tuesday afternoon and it shows. The cover does not match the brand, the body type is whatever Canva picked, the headings jump in size for no reason, and the whole thing screams "free download from a stranger." That is a real conversion problem. People judge your business by your free PDF before they ever consider paying you. I treat eBooks like the front-of-house assets they are: branded, considered, and built so a reader trusts the next email you send them.

From manuscript to publish-ready in four steps

    • ●Step 1: kickoff call. I agree on the format (PDF, ePub, Kindle), the audience, the brand kit, and the page count. I ask for your manuscript and any reference covers you like.
    • ●Step 2: sample pages. I design the cover, table of contents, and three sample interior pages. Once you approve the look, the rest of the book is faster.
    • ●Step 3: full layout. I flow the manuscript into the template, place images and pull-quotes, build the index, and clean up widows, orphans, and awkward line breaks.
    • ●Step 4: delivery. You get the print-ready PDF plus any other formats I agreed on, the source file, and a short Loom video walking you through how to update it.

    eBook design FAQ

Three main types: lead magnets and opt-in PDFs (10-30 pages), course workbooks and student guides (20-60 pages), and full long-form eBooks or manuals (60-200 pages). I do not work on fiction or children's picture books because that is a different craft entirely.

I design and format. You bring the content (Google Doc, Word, or Markdown is fine) and I lay it out, fix formatting issues, design the cover, and produce the final files. If you want help shaping the writing itself, that is a different conversation and I usually refer to a copywriter.

Yes. I build the layout using your existing brand colours, fonts, and logo. If you do not have a brand kit, I can put together a simple one as part of the project so the eBook does not look like every other Canva template.

Print-ready PDF as standard. I can also produce reflowable ePub for Kindle and other e-readers, and a separate web-friendly PDF (smaller file size, hyperlinks for online distribution). The source file lives in InDesign, Affinity Publisher, or Canva depending on what you can edit later.

Lead magnets: about one week. Course workbooks: two to three weeks. Full long-form eBooks: four to eight weeks depending on length and how many revisions I go through. Most of the time is spent on the first three sample pages where I lock in the design system; the rest moves quickly once the look is approved.

Yes, if I build it in Canva or Google Slides you can edit text directly. If I go with InDesign for a more polished result, you can either pay me for an update pass or hire a designer with InDesign access. I will tell you which makes more sense for your situation in the first call.

eBook and workbook design is quoted from the page count, manuscript readiness, design complexity, graphics, and delivery schedule. Send the manuscript and requirements to receive a fixed quote before work starts.

Yes. I can format for KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing), set up the upload, and configure the metadata. For course platforms (Kajabi, Teachable, Thinkific), I drop the workbook into the right lesson and link it correctly. That work falls under web services or LMS support.
